Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was born on 5 July 1960 in Mumbai in a Rajasthani family, his father Radheshyamji Jhunjhunwala was an income tax officer. Born in a Rajasthani family, Rakesh’s mother’s name was Urmila Jhunjhunwala. He then expressed his desire to make a career in the stock market.
However, his father suggested he get a bachelor’s degree from a college first. Rakesh Jhunjhunwala graduated as a Chartered Accountant from Sydenham College in 1985 and then he started investing in the stock market when he was pursuing his degree. He married Rekha Jhunjhunwala on 22 February 1987 and both have a daughter and two twin sons.
Daughter Nishtha was born on 30 June 2004 after 17 years of marriage and then Rakesh and Rekha’s twin sons Aryaman and Aryaveer were born in 2009.
